Former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley said during an event Wednesday that New Hampshire voters will “get it right” and that they will “correct” the results of the upcoming Iowa caucuses.

The former governor of South Carolina is currently polling at 24.8% in New Hampshire and 16% in Iowa, trailing frontrunner Donald Trump, who is leading in both states at 46% and 51% respectively, according to RealClearPolitics. Haley was at a campaign stop in New Hampshire less than two weeks out from the Iowa caucuses on Jan. 15 and told the audience that “they have an opportunity to get this right,” according to a video from The Citizen.

“We have an opportunity to get this right. And I know we’ll get it right and I trust you. I trust every single one of you. You know how to do this. You know Iowa starts it. You know that you correct it,” Haley said.

The audience responded by laughing and cheering Haley’s remarks and she went on to say that after Iowa and New Hampshire her home state of South Carolina “brings it home.”

“That’s what we do,” Haley said.

Republican Gov. Kim Reynolds of Iowa, however, responded to Haley’s comments on X Wednesday, saying that “no corrections” are needed when Iowa makes a decision.

Reynolds endorsed DeSantis in November, saying that she did not think Trump could win a general election and that she “believes in Ron.”

Haley’s campaign did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.
